AYE AYE Double IPA

All hands on deck! Captain Tobi with Officer Jacob from the MS ÜberQuell and Captain Georg from the MS Fuerst Wiacek arrived as a three-master in the port of Hamburg to brew a Double IPA in the style of the historic skipper’s beers. In the days of the Hanseatic League, these were taken on long journeys as high-alcohol and well-hopped provisions beers and exported to distant countries. Brewed with a stiff breeze of wanderlust, fruity notes of mandarin, mango and passion fruit, a soft fullness of flavor thanks to the use of Franconian country barley and a subtle bite in the finish, the historic beer style has been brought into the modern age with hops from the USA and Australia.
