On November 1, things got really wild at the ÜberQuell beer garden in St. Pauli! Both curling lanes were inaugurated for the winter season with the Hamburg Brewers Curling Championship 2024. Brewers from Hamburg competed against each other in teams of four and played exciting matches. In the end, the result was very close: three teams each achieved three wins and two defeats – pure excitement!

J-Dag and the Julebryg release: Danish beer tradition in the ÜberQuell

After the sporting highlight, we moved on to the festive part of the evening. At 8:59 pm sharp, our brewer Rasmus Börner proclaimed the traditional J-Dag in Danish and German – and thus the start of the Danish Christmas beer Julebryg. We have been brewing this special beer at ÜberQuell together with Anders Coisbo from Undercover Brewing in St. Pauli for seven years. With its spicy aromas and wintry notes, Julebryg is guaranteed to get everyone looking forward to the cold season and is a must for all beer lovers.
